Solar Electrician | Gold Coast QLD + Local & Regional Travel | Up to $200,000 + OT + Bonuses

This is not your standard metro install role. This is a rare opportunity for a capable, commercially switched-on Solar Electrician to join a Gold Coast-headquartered business delivering solar and battery solutions across both local and regional projects.

The work is varied, the travel is genuine, and the role will suit someone who thrives on autonomy, pace, and getting the job done properly on site. While the business is based on the Gold Coast, the work extends across local South East Queensland projects as well as regional assignments throughout Queensland.

The package reflects the expectation. For the right candidate, the hourly rate can reach $55 per hour, plus overtime, sign-off bonuses, and additional incentives discussed at interview. One of the biggest drawcards is the roster structure, with regional trips typically running 10 to 14 days, followed by meaningful downtime, equating to roughly 12 weeks of paid time off per year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver solar and battery installations across local and regional projects

• Work across both domestic and commercial projects depending on project scope

• Travel to regional locations as part of structured install runs when required

• Complete installations safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard

• Manage site-based problem solving and adapt quickly across varied working environments

• Support commissioning, testing, and sign-off requirements across solar and battery systems

• Work closely with install crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to standard

• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, electrical standards, and safety requirements

• Represent the business professionally across client sites, local projects, and regional communities

ABOUT YOU

• Qualified Electrician with current SAA accreditation

• Ideally holds SAA qualifications across solar, battery, and design

• Experience across both domestic and commercial electrical or solar work highly regarded

• Comfortable with a role that includes both local work and regional travel

• Able to work independently while still contributing strongly within a crew environment

• Practical, reliable, and solutions-focused in the field

• Physically capable and mentally resilient, with the right attitude for project-based work

• Organised, switched-on, and able to maintain strong standards without constant supervision

• Early-career to mid-level operators encouraged to apply, particularly those looking to grow with a high-performing business
