Luke Hemmings

Founder and Managing Director

Luke Hemmings is the Managing Director of Whitefox Recruitment, a principal-led search and advisory firm built for businesses that require sharper judgement, stronger representation and a more considered approach to key appointments. Working across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and South East Queensland, Luke advises business owners, executives and leadership teams on the people decisions that influence performance, culture, retention and long-term growth.

Raised in regional New South Wales, Luke’s early career took him across Australia through media, working with national and regional organisations including Channel 7, Southern Cross Austereo, Grant Broadcasters, Super Radio Network, The West Australian and Dubbo Photo News. His media career took him from the Kimberley in Western Australia to Jindabyne, Goulburn, Dubbo, Newcastle and Nowra. During his time in FM radio, he became the youngest Content Director in Australian commercial radio at the age of 19, an early marker of his ability to lead, communicate and understand audience, timing and market positioning.

Following his media career, Luke gained experience in real estate, further sharpening his commercial awareness, client service standards and understanding of how people make high-stakes decisions. That background, across media, property and recruitment, gave him a front-row education in people, pressure, local markets and the power of clear positioning, experience that now informs how he assesses talent, advises clients and represents candidates.

Since founding Whitefox Recruitment in 2019, Luke has led the firm through significant evolution, including its strategic relocation from Canberra to Queensland and its growth into one of the region's most recognised, reviewed and awarded recruitment brands. A multi-award-winning recruiter, Luke has built his reputation on senior judgement, clear communication and a principal-led approach that gives clients direct access to the person accountable for the outcome.

Luke’s approach is grounded in discretion, accountability and commercial clarity, underpinned by a simple belief that every person has a story. He takes people at face value, listens with intent and looks beyond the surface to understand capability, character and circumstance. His focus is not simply filling vacancies, but helping businesses make better people decisions with confidence, precision and proper representation.
