Bar & Venue All-Rounder | Fortitude Valley QLD | Full-Time

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and reliable hospitality all-rounder looking to build their experience within one of Brisbane’s busiest nightlife precincts.

Our client is an established hospitality and entertainment operator with a growing presence across Queensland. Based in the heart of Fortitude Valley, they are looking for a Bar & Venue All-Rounder to join the team within a fast-paced, high-volume late-night venue.

This is a hands-on role for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

You’ll work across the venue supporting the bar and floor teams, collecting glassware, keeping service areas stocked and organised, maintaining venue presentation, assisting with basic bar duties where appropriate, and helping the broader team keep everything moving during busy trading periods.

Previous hospitality experience will be highly regarded, but attitude, reliability, and work ethic are just as important.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the bar and floor teams throughout service

• Collect, clear, wash, and return glassware efficiently

• Ensure bars remain stocked with clean glassware during busy trading periods

• Maintain clean, organised, and presentable bar and service areas

• Assist with venue set-up before opening

• Assist with pack-down and closing procedures

• Restock fridges, bars, consumables, and service areas as required

• Support bartenders during high-volume service periods

• Assist with basic beverage and bar duties where appropriately trained

• Clear tables and maintain presentation across customer areas

• Monitor venue areas and proactively identify where assistance is required

• Assist with functions, events, activations, and major trading nights

• Work closely with bartenders, managers, security, and floor staff

• Follow directions from Bar Managers and venue management

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures

• Assist with stock movement and storage where required

• Help minimise breakages, wastage, and unnecessary stock loss

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Respond quickly to operational priorities throughout the shift

• Be willing to jump between different duties as the venue requires

• Contribute to a positive, energetic, and professional team environment

ABOUT YOU

• Previous hospitality, bar, nightclub, restaurant, or venue experience will be highly regarded

• Entry-level candidates with the right attitude are encouraged to apply

• Energetic, reliable, and willing to work hard

• Comfortable working in a busy late-night environment

• Able to work efficiently during high-volume trading periods

• Strong work ethic and willingness to get involved wherever needed

• Friendly, confident, and comfortable around customers

• Able to take direction and work effectively as part of a team

• Proactive and able to recognise what needs to be done without constantly being asked

• Well presented with strong personal hygiene and presentation standards

• Physically capable of being on your feet throughout busy shifts

• Comfortable carrying and collecting glassware and completing physical venue duties

• Reliable and punctual

• Available to work nights, weekends, and peak hospitality trading periods

• Current Queensland RSA will be highly regarded, particularly for candidates wanting exposure to bar service

• Passionate about hospitality, entertainment, or nightlife
